Noah Eggebraaten, M.A., CCC-SLP is a practicing speech-language pathologist with clinical experience across the lifespan in medical and educational settings.
Inspired by a struggling patient with childhood apraxia of speech (CAS) and frustrated by the lack of comprehensive word lists for simple syllable shapes in English, Eggebraaten began with a simple question: How many CV, VC, CVC, and CVCV words are there? What began as a practical clinical inquiry grew into a multi-year effort to identify and organize more than 3,500 words, resulting in a singular reference for syllable-level and sound-based intervention.
Eggebraaten lives in northern Iowa with his wife and children. He currently works for Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea, Minnesota, and maintains incurable interests in phonetics, dysphagia, cognition, voice, literacy, and language intervention.
